The Bethel Orphanage

In 2004 Glencoe Foundation, together with a donor in Belgium, funded 4 homes for children at bethel Orphanage at Kafue. Kafue is one hours drive south of Lusaka.

Over the next three years we funded over 40 children through schooling, and arranged expert help to develop a vegetable garden. The children enthusiastically helped.

Very sadly management agendas then surfaced, and issues arose which meant we could no longer keep involved with Bethel Orphanage.

We have however continued to keep in touch with some of the children and pay all schooling expenses for Martin and Karen. We expect we will still be supporting them through University.
